    One year my uncle gave my sister a photo of the car she wanted.

    You could try wrapping up things you already own and giving them to him. :)

    One year my mom borrowed Firefly Season 1 and Serenity from Mike. She took so long to return them that she wrapped ‘em up and gave them to him for Christmas. It was quite amusing.
